It should since it'll be unlocked.

Depends on the model variant. Check which one you have, STL100-X, and compare the X with the model her carrier uses. Each variant has different frequencies in it.

You might be better off selling your unlocked Z10 in Canada and with the money buying an unlocked SIM free version in the UK. The Z10 and also the Q5 can be bought quite cheaply for 189 and 129 pounds respectively.

Thanks for the replies.. it is the STL100-3. I am going to unlock it and just pop down to a phone store and pick up a sim and try it out... looking forward to using the BBM video chat...

Think they use 100-2 in UK. You might check this link out:

You won't get LTE with your Z10 in UK and it will be missing one of the 3g bands so 3g may be spotty. If you want her to not be limited and get the most from her plan get an STL100-2.
Blasted through cyberspace with my BlackBerry Z10.
I have a Rogers Z10 I got it unlocked I have used it with Wind mobilicity, and now I'm with Koodo I would think you'd have no problem. same goes for my Z30 it was a Telus I unlocked it as I was with Rogers and have also used it on the same carriers.
