    So my friend just bought a brand new in box Z10. No branding from any carrier on the box. He bought it off kijiji. The seller said it cam straight from Blackberry and it is unlocked. I have put 3 different sim cards in from different companies. The only one that works is Rogers.
    So I called rogers and asked them if it is a rogers phone.......they told me it is not.

    I am confused. My friend is on bell and it will not work. I cant even get it unlocked because I dont know what carrier it is from. It is STL100-3

    Please help

    Also, when I go to Sim card on the phone, it says

    Network Subset: Unlocked
    Service Provider: Unlocked

    Check if the the networks your trying to connect aren't CDMA networks this is a GSM phone.
    BELL : CDMA
    ROGERS : GSM

    You bought the wrong phone!

    Bell is no longer a CDMA network, although it is still supported

    Z10STL100-3/10.2.1.1055 on Bell with Unlimited Data

    The probable reason it won't work on bell is that they push an APN BlackBerry.net to the phone. Change it to pda.bell.ca and try it.

    It is not unlocked unless all three of these show "unlocked" and there is NO BUTTON where the top one is. If there's a button there it's still locked. The bottom two are NOT sufficient.

    Such bull!

    I'm using an STL100-3 that is Sim unlocked on Wind Mobile and I've used this on Rogers' HSSOA as well. Bell nor Telus are no longer just CDMA carriers and haven't been for more than 2yrs.

    You should NOT have to put anything, the app should auto populate by default. You'll also see a new icon for Wind representing the Sim card.
