Hello guys, I used autoloader and loaded 10.3.1.2267 leak. Before that I did backup and now when I try to restore BlackBerry Link gives this error and doesn't continue to restore. Is there anyone who faced this problem?

Have you tried renaming your device the same as the name you used when you backed up your files?

I didn't change anything. Therefore my device name didn't change. To be clear when I am restoring my apps it reaches about %50-%60 and gives this error and doesn't continue of course.

It sounds like something in the backup is corrupted, or the updated OS doesn't like something in it.

Do you have another backup you can try?

No, I don't. But you are right in your first guess. It gave an error after backup but I tought it was not that important. So there is no solution for this problem.

So far my only fix was to use a previous back up file. I made 2 just before this new leak and had to revert back to older OS and older back up. Lost a months worth of data.

You could try going back to the official OS and see if the backup will load but if you had an error when the backup was made then you are probably stuck unfortunately.

I don't have the courage to do something new actually. I reloaded my lost apps and I don't want to lose them again. Official 10.2.1 release looks just so bad after going from 10.3.1. I accepted this situation and I will do double backups from then.

Your back up seems to be corrupt so I am afraid you just have to start from scratch

It must be a relief that you can get the Apps back quite easily, I know it sucks to lose the other data though.

I'm still holding out on the 10.3 update as I want the phone to be as fresh as possible for as long as possible, if that makes sense!

Roll on the official roll out.

I have the same problem with restoring my Passport.

I know the backup is good because it worked (mostly) on my Q10 when I sent my Passport for repair. I say mostly because not everything (accounts and things like that) transferred going from 10.3.2 on the Passport to 10.3.1 on the Q10.

Now it stalls in the 50% range, says Unable to Save Name and reboots the device. It's driving me crazy!! Anyone have any ideas?

I've wiped, reloaded, reinstalled Link, etc. all with no success! Very frustrated

Try re-naming the phone to the same as the old one on the device itself .

Sorry if you already know how to re-name it but just go into settings, about and change the name in the box.

    Tried re-naming with no success.

It is a different Passport now. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Have you tried doing a selective restore, just settings perhaps?

After a good number of tries, I got it going by choosing not to restore some Snap loaded apps.

It worked so I'm not going to fuss. Now I have to relearn how to type on the Passport. I got so used to the smaller Q10 keyboard after having used it so long in the past.
