On my Z10 the APN setting is greyed out making it impossible to edit.

Model number STL100-3

I am using the latest update from Rogers.... release 10.2.0.429

The phone was unlocked a few months ago through Crackberry the SIM card reports Network - unlocked, Network subset - unlocked and service provider - unlocked so I am presuming it IS unlocked.

I was planning to use Roam Mobility during my sojourn to the warmer climates during the winter, I still have lots of time on my tracfone but would prefer to use the Snowbird plan with Roam.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Settings>Security and Privacy>SIM Card> Do you see, under Phone Network lock, an unlock button and a line about "You can unlock the device with the network code provided by the original seller of the device"?

It will be un locked when you put the roam sim in. Then you can change an to roam

The reason I asked was that my friends "LOCKED" phone APN was editable with the Rogers sim card inserted

Inserted the Roam sim card and APN Was editable.
I deleted the roam setting , inserted the rogers sim card and it inserted the correct APN and all is well.
