Try Apple App store if Google Play is giving you issues...

You can't just install Google Play store on BB10 OS. There is a link to a very good guide how to get some core Google apps and services in post #2. It's a little more complicated approach, though. The easiest thing for you to do is to sideload Snap (use Search to find how). It will give you access to Google Play apps, but don't expect everything you see there to work on BB10.

You need to install Snap which will pull from Google Play. And Amazon Appstore.

Google play will never work direct.

    Baloney.

Unless you consider the steps contained in the thread stated in post #2 above, not direct.

Then I'd agree...everything needs patched. But afterwards, it is possible to download, install, and update apps from a patched Google Play Store.

You cannot download apps from Google Play Store

You need to install other types of store apps that are similar to Google.
They will enable you to download and install android apps to your Z10.
    For example : 1 Mobile.

    Or : Amazon App Store.

    Or : Snap.

( follow the links for more info )

Hope this helps you out !

The only thing you can do is install Snap.

Then that's not exactly direct from Google, wouldn't you say?

That depends now doesn't it... If I patch an app and remove all the Google dependencies and the ads, isn't it still that app? Or what would you call it, if it were say, Clash of Clans? Is it not Clash of Clans anymore? And if I downloaded it from a patched version of Google Play store, is it not Google Play Store anymore either? It didn't come from Amazon, Snap, or 1 Mobile. So where did it come?

As I said several posts ago - it's no longer coming direct. It's being patched by some guy on the Internet or self patched. But the package provided by the publisher is still not patched - which is what the op keeps trying to use.

The user can do whatever they want to files, make modified versions or use Snap - but the package he's picked up direct from Google is not going to work. I don't really understand the benefit to the op to argue with me on this sentence but it's a free world, so by all means continue on.
