So, I'm making the move from WP to BB10 on Saturday, getting a Z10 on o2, �32 a month - free phone...

Anyway, main question is about the regular updates (and lack thereof) from networks. Would I be better getting the phone from CPW (am I right in thinking they provide network unlocked phones so the update would come straight from BB and wouldn't have to go through o2's checks?) or does it not really matter?

Next choice is black or white!!

well whether or not you get an unlocked phone, you get the updates via the carrier you are currently on... Either way, you can just check BB Link for the update.

ok thanks for that! Just with the Nokia that I have (sim/networked unlocked) the updates come from Nokia and don't have to be network tested before being rolled out. Didn't know if the same was applicable to BBs

I have an unlocked UK Z10. The update is determined by the sim, but as it's unlocked you can stuff any sim from the first carrier to approve the new OS.

And anyway, you can always load leaked OS versions at will.

I got mine of phones for you unlocked, on vodadone contract, Z10, and my GF got one from the same, on an o2 contract, both unlocked. Q10.

Mines on three from cpw for 29 a month, it's unlocked.
Used an o2 sim for the last update.

I hope my zed 10 is unlocked as I'm selling it to someone who is on 02 I have used vodafone in it have not tried another sim.
