Has anyone else tried this? As I'm typing this right now I am not looking at the keyboard. Simply letting the space bar make corrections. If you get the first or second letters correct it will figure out exactly what you're trying to type.

Yep, I've noticed for the first time with a mobile device I don't have to look at the keyboard when typing on the Z10. My ipod touch and my work phone (a Samsung) are awful to type on in comparison. I had been using both for about 2 years and I couldn't get used to either of them. The quality of the Z10 keyboard was the main reason I bought it, and it only took just over a week to get fully used to it.

Haha no way. This is my first touch screen keyboard and I am not used to it like that just yet. I typed without looking out my 9930 though. I was a pro. Maybe one day. Also, flicking words is fun!

I came from a touchscreen 9850 to the Z10 the keyboard experience is totally different, I can fly with my Torch now with the Z10 its a learning process and remembering to flick words upwards lol...

Yes I can do this as well, not quite as well as I could on my 9819 but the Z10 gets most of the words correct.

I always type without looking at the keyboard. I just pretend that I am still on my 9900 and hit where the letters should be... of that I think they are! I would say at least 90 % of the time the predictive text is right... Its really wicked. the trick is to trust the predictive texte even of you are typing all sort of crap.... it ends up correcting it!

I was a pro at this with my 9860 especially when driving. The reduced keyboard made it easy. With a full keyboard its really hard.

So you guys aren't using the flying words if typing away without looking at the keyboard? I only typed about half the letters in this reply with the predictive words to swipe up. It will take some time to get fast with it but it is the best feature of the keyboard, IMHO.

The prediction for the z10 blows iPhone auto correct out of the water. I came from an iPhone 5 and it was torture to text people on.

One handed I look, mostly for the quick flick ups. Two handed I don't look neatly as much and just type, I find that the auto correct works well enough that I can type fairly fast and still get down what I want.

I absolutely am in love with the keyboard just after a few days and I can only expect it to get better as it learns my typing habits.

I think BlackBerry really was able to transition my love for their awesome physical keyboard to this near full touch slice of heaven.

Even if I mess up or if, on the rare occasion, the auto predict messes up, a simple swipe backwards gets me where I need to be to fix it.

All in all, the best features on the phone, as a BlackBerry should have.

...typed that without looking. what I'm trying to say is, I can't master it yet. I can only type without looking on the legacy devices.
