So are some of us, and if we tap Space ->? 123 -> .123 the period hops over to end the sentence instead of staying put with the numbers being typed.

It stays where intended only if preceded by another character, has a letter or number in front of it, follows a manual correction, or if the subsystem doesn't recognize what you're doing, e.g.: ending a sentence with a character.

Mine hops as well (The rate is. 25); I wonder if this is related to the other punctuation issues that some people have too? If I use a 'flick word', followed by a question mark or exclamation mark, there will be a space between the word and the '?' (e.g., "What is the rate ?" if "rate" is flicked), whereas with a period, it hops over correctly. Not everyone has this problem, I'm wondering if scrannel doesn't have it, given that s/he can have the decimal in the appropriate place without issue.

I'm a guy. And that's a good question. Mine only creates a space between the period and number if I type in the period on the "letter side" of the keyboard. If I do it on the "number side" it stays put. But on neither side do I get the period "hoping" to the end. Again, I'm on OS version 10.1.0.2025 (t-Mo's release 10.1.0.2006).

My assumption is on the letter side it's seeing the period as punctuation and on the number side, a decimal.

ALSO... just tried your "flicking" followed by a ? and I do NOT get a space.

I get "The rate is. 25" whether I use the period from the letter keyboard or the number keyboard. I'm on Rogers, OS version 10.1.0.1720, release 10.1.0.273, so maybe that's why.

If you use a question mark after a 'flicked' word, do you get a space or not? ("How was your day?" or "How was your day ?", if you flick "day")

Also, I figured you were a guy based on your avatar...but it's always bad policy to assume

I tried your flicked word followed by a ? and I do NOT get a space, as you predicted. (My avatar is an "Alexisonfire" album cover, a phenomenal Canadian band, who describe their music as sounding like two Catholic school girls in a knife fight.)

Interesting! So maybe all this punctuation stuff is fixed in later releases.
I know Alexisonfire but don't have any of their stuff so I've never seen the cover...

You're with Rogers, what is your "OS version" (Settings > About > Category > OS)? Not release, but "version".

Here's Alexisonfire's best album, highly recommended.

Interesting. So it would appear Scrannel does have a solution; while I'd like to try that release myself, I'm going to hold off as I'm rolling with .2354 and just installed the 1881 radio.
