Simple questions -- can you turn off the Z10 and then turn it on again without it having to reboot, the way the legacy devices worked? And can you turn it off but still have the alarm (but nothing else) work?

I don't believe so. Just turn airplane mode on and it pretty much mimics it though.

    First part is no.

Second yes, turn the alarm on and the. Swipe down for sleep mode. Alarm still works but all notifications will be off by default.

You miss auto on/off don't you? Me too.

But in all fairness and disclosure, legacy devices didn't turn off. It would only shut down the screen and disable the radios, and stop proceses , saving a fair amount of battery. It's not on 10.1 so far, but let's keep fingers crossed...

Do I ever miss it! The auto function along with the weekend setting was soooo convenient.

I'd settle for a timer on the bedside mode, weekday and weekend settings. Fingers crossed!
