    Hello:

I upgraded to 10.1.0.273 on Friday night (it's now Sunday), and I am no longer getting the wifi bar/signal strength indicator along the top of the display. When I pull down from the top bezel, it says my wifi is on, but no network is listed as being connected to.

When I go to the main settings menu and access wifi, it says my home network is connected.

Just wondering if after the new update, does the wifi indicator at the top of the home screen no longer show?

I just like to know so I am aware if I am using a wifi location or my data.

    Any ideas out there?

I am having the same problem - I found a post here: My personal investigation on Z10 OS 10.1.0.273 Wif... - BlackBerry Support Community Forums

Explaining it appears to be linked to the OS upgrade.

Had the same problem, for me a reboot of the router worked. Just pulled the power for 10 seconds and upon the router restarting, my WIFI icon on the Z10 reappeared and everything works as usual so far.

First try rebooting your Router. If that does not solve the problem, you can get around that issue by manually assigning an ip address to your phone. To do this follow the steps below:

1- Click on settings on your z10
    2- Click on Network Connections
    3- Click on Wi-Fi
4- Click on Saved button at the bottom of the screen to list your saved wifi networks.
5- Click on the wireless network you are having issue connecting
6- Switch Auto Obtain IP option to OFF position
7- Type in an IP address not in use on your local network. You can check that on your DHCP
8- Type your Subnet Mask (255.255.255.0)
9- Type your Primary DNS address (This is your Router IP address, Unless you are running a DNS server)
10- Type your Default Gateway Address ( This is your Router IP address as well.)
11- Press Connect at the top right of the screen and that will get your wifi internet connection working via WIFI.

Note-- This has to be done to each WIFI connection until Blackberry corrects this issue.

Let me know if you have any questions.

@Flavio Martincowski, thank you very much! You nailed it! I really never tried setting it manually.
