Hey folks, I know it 99% works the other way. Transfering old cell phone to NEW one right. However my Z10 went in for repairs since it doesnt feel like turning on anymore. Regardless i did a backup of my Z10 about a month ago on BB link. Now sitting here and trying to add that backup contacts etc to my loaner phone, which makes sence right?

Blackberry link is telling me "You need a device running BB10 or later to use BB Link." However my loaner phone is NOT a BB10 device. Plz tell me there is a way to work around this.

Thoughts right about now would be um extremely useful and GRATEFUL!!!

Ya i opened up My BB Desktop and under the restore options i dont see any Z10 restore backups!

Eh? I believed that loaner phones are given based on the phone you are getting repaired? 9800 for 9800, z10 for z10. That's what happened for me one time.

Ya if they have one in stock! Which ever so convinently the 2 Bell Mobility stores did not!!

My love for blackberry is going down hill very quickly I must admit. I mean im somewhat tech sabby and im having troubles here. Imagine someone that isnt to good for this kind of transfering stuff. They must go NUTZ!!! two thumbs down right about now for Blackberry!!

This sucks!!! No contacts with a loaner phone. Might as well just be using a pay phone.
