Welcome to the true addiction, Steve. Once you start down the leak trail all the pain of waiting is lost. Been doing these for years myself.

Be prepared for an issue sometime. Search the forums for a solution. The real joy of BlackBerry is OS upgrades when you wish in spite of the carrier. Enjoy.

Thought I would bump this. Maybe someone can throw in some advice. I was messing around at the BBW web site and updated my BB Maps. Well, it updated and then completely quit working. Not knowing what to do, I tried reinstalling .1925 to no avail. I am now reloading the stock Verizon OS and will reinstall .1925...I hope. Am I doing thid right? Well, that might be moot since I am stripping the device down to state. Any comments, funny or otherwise, are welcome. When you have the IQ of an appendix this stuff is hard. Thanks ahead of time...

You mean maps stopped after update? Hard reboot and that may have been enough?

Yes...tried all of the above. Very interesting. The web site showed Maps needing an upgrade while the device apparently didn't want it. After the upgrade, by tapping the icon the app would begin to work then shut off back to the home screen. No amounts of coercion on my part would reinstall 1925, so I figured to just start over with the Verizon version and redownload and install .1925.

Total wash...this blows. Why was it so easy the first time and seemingly impossible now to install 1925?

something's happening...odd that I tried to download the OS 3x and only on the last one got a file from Mega that was actually titled "autoloader". We'll find out soon, eh???
