Yesterday my friend was playing a game on my z10 and enjoying the phone when I got a msg I didn't want him reading but since I had toast on he was able to read it. It's a hassle to turn it off before handing ur phone to someone. I hope they add an option in the drop down menu to toggle it on/off....

Other thing you could do is get him to buy a Z10 and play on his own device lol.

But I agree more toggle options can only be a positive.

Agreed, it makes sense to provide a quick way for disabling and re-enabling toast notifications for situations like this. I hope BlackBerry adds this functionality before the official release of 10.2.

The dropdown menu is the logical choice but I wonder if a cool unique swipe gesture can be made to do it.

What is so wrong with opening the settings app? Do you need it so quick? Is your phone public?

It'd just be taking space airplane mode, location services, etc could very damn well be occupying.

Agreed! much more important toggles could be added over that function. BB needs to make the toggles customizable like you can do on android.

I hand my phone to anyone who notices it and yes a quick toggle is better than going through settings I'm just saying it's better to have that option. I show off my Z10 to anyone n everyone people need to know about how great this phone is.

Too many settings and toggles make it a mess. It is for often used options. That's it.

No matter what blackberry does there will be complaints. I'm just waiting for thread with someone asking for the development mode on/off to be in the pull down menu because they side load a lot and they shouldn't have to open the settings for that.

It's a great suggestion but I don't know many people on iOS or Android doing that either when I look at their phones for whatever reason.
