    Hey,

One of the great features of BB10 and BB Link is the WIFI connection to get your files synchronised between your laptop and BB10 device. You can also access your computer's files remotely from your BB10 or the contrary access the files on your BB10 from your computer.

However, sometimes, BB Link (the software on your laptop) can take time to "find" your BB10 device, if it ever does.

The trick is simple : Once your BB Link is started on your computer and both your computer and BB10 device are on the same WIFI network, simply do this on your phone :
    - Open the official "File Manager" app
    - click on the "Device" icon (on the bottom left hand side of the screen) to display the different storages you have access to (Device, SD Card, Dropbox, Box, etc)
    - Select your computer

Then wait a few seconds and, ohohoh, magic, your BB10 phone will be recognised by your computer and you will have two way access on the files !

On my side, I configured my BB Link so that it automatically synchronises the files on my BB10 with my computer as soon as it can connect to my BB10. It works very well.

    Configuration I have :
    - BlackBerry Z10
    - Wifi network (no, really ? )
    - BB Link 1.2.0.28 (latest available stable version at day of writing this message)
    - I connected my BB10 to my computer by USB at least once before using the WIFI connection
    - On the "settings" of my phone, BB Link is activated and my computer is recognised
    - I don't do "use of mobile network" as I have no need of it.

The only remaining thing which I am waiting for is wireless synchronisation of my contacts and calendar between BB Link and my BB10. This is the only last thing which forces me to connect my BB10 to my laptop.

Had that problem on my home machine and work machine. After rebooting my work machine, it worked again. I have yet to reboot my home machine to know if that resolved it.

Thanks for your response. Have done both, reboot PC & Z10 after doing a full back of my Z10 using BBlink. Still nothing. Also read another Thread that Mcafee would cause this problems but I don't have it installed on my PC.

For some reason, my Windows 7 refuses to write anything to Phone memory. It can read/write to SD card, but can only read from phone memory. I did like 5 Link reinstalations, 5 windows restarts, phone restarts, everything that came to my mind.

    Ditto
It used to work here.. really well in fact. Now neither of our z10s can connect with file manager. Maybe it's BBLink v 1.2.1.31
I have this version of BBlink on both computers, one running Vista x64 the other Win 8.1 x86.

Hmmm, not sure where the revelation is here. You mean people aren't doing this? Do this all the time to send a photo from my computer by email or MMS.

This morning it's working, only change I can think of is I now allowed BBlink to start with windows. Previously I'd start it manually when I needed to do this type of thing.
