If as has been posted, BB has a solution for this issue but it is in OS 10.3.xxxx, then it is absurd that it is not released NOW. Everyday some user posts a new thread or adds to existing threads about their running into this problem. Their phones turn off at some arbitrary battery level or they do not charge back up to 100%. Or, at least, the values shown are inaccurate. It makes them annoyed or angry with good reason. None of us like our phones turning off during phone calls or writing emails without proper warning.

I don't care if releasing the OS before their Grand Rollout of 10.3.xxx devices is ruined. BB has a ton of very disgruntled users who are regularly blemishing BB's already poor reputation due to this problem or issue (if problem is too strong a term). If BB is really sitting on a fix until sometime this Fall, that is patently crazy, at least, very unfair. And dragging out users with either defective hardware or defective software as their warranties tick away is also not fair.

I believe Crackberry should write a blog on this issue. They should seek clarification of the issue from BB or publicize the problems. The user community needs this.

Hardly there are any enterprise level apps.

Probably z10 is last BlackBerry smartphone for me. Looking forward to windows phone updates and real native experience unlike android apps.

But to be honest and fair, there's HUGE improvement and it's getting even better. The battery capacity is quite small but it could do with some usage tricks

The issue with the STL-1 isn't the capacity issue that all Z10 owners are dissaticified with (most anyway). As the OP stated, it' that the battery capacity isn't right and the thing shutdown.

Even my phone sometimes shuts down at 10% battery or so... and I think ****... I wanted to make that last call..

Nowadays I am alert when the battery drops to about 20% or so!

Mine died at 70% for over a month. Installing 10.3 solve the problem and then after that 10.2.2.1531 also solved the problem. But yes I have to agree that not all ppl are so patient with blackberry to really downgrade and upgrade OS

I agree OP. We want answers. Honestly, I dont believe there is a fix. I think the alleged fix in 10.3 is BS.
STL100-1 should be a factory recall.

I know not everyone likes this idea but I bought the battery charger bundle and haven't had my phone die since. It previously died at 30%. Now I switch batteries or charge it at around 35%-40% with no issues.

Mine use to turn off at 20% wen i upgraded the OS. Once i try the pulling out battery method it started to get switch off 8% early i.e. at 28% itself. Its dam sick using a device like this in a imp times. Dono how long it will take BB officials to release the latest version of OS with the incorrect Calibration fix.

My question is have anyone with a battery issue looked at their battery? I have two batteries and have noticed one is a little wider than the other. I'll provide pictures once I finish work, stuck here til 7 pm edt, but the slightly wider battery gives less battery life than the other. So for some it may be a case of a faulty battery. Not that I am saying a calibration issue doesn't exist (have experienced it myself) but mine corrected by completely draining the battery then charging overnight (6+ hrs)

10.2.2 has fixed it for me use sachesi and get the 10.2.2 version, phone feels like silk and all such issues ware fixed, even the battery lasts longer

I have BlackBerry z10 it's fully charged but in 80% till runs so good then automatically shutting down then pop up red empty box of battery (but it's already 80% ) what should I do... then when I charge to my BlackBerry then charge running out within 10 to 15 minutes it's full to charge...

i was fed up with my battery issues and finally changed my mobile to Xiaomi mi3.....but i still love bb and waiting for next update...advantage with Xioami is that u get weekly updates and immediately response to any bug in the forum....BB is dying now......they even don't care and don't contact with any1......

Mine is 10.2.2.932 and yes its stable as its official os how to guide can be found here, when downloading, choose germany 262 as 10.2.2 is only available there for some reason...
