Paying for something like this is ridiculous as Instagram has been known to block 3rd party apps and have even resorted to deleting images uploaded from them lately.
Same reason I wouldn't purchase a 3rd party Twitter app with the way they've been enforcing the Token Limitations on their platform... App can be rendered useless if you have to reset your device, or get it replaced, etc.

Instago does only use regular features of the Instagram API. Which means you can't upload images or create new user accounts. However it also means that Instagram has no reason to block it in any way, so you'll be able to view you timeline, popular images and videos, like and comment them plus pretty much all other features of the official app.
