I am wondering about the Z10.. I currently have a Z30 and was thinking about downsizing and going to the Z10. I know that the battery is worse, but other than that what are the big differences between the two phones. I feel that the size is better for me.
    Thoughts??

The size is a plus for me, the Battery is a negative, and the speakers are a non-issue for me....

    Why don't u 2 do a swap
I would say the pros for the Z10 over the Z30 are:
The volume/mute buttons are far superior on Z10
If you use your phone a lot in bed the Z10 screen dims far lower than the Z30. I have stopped using my phone as much in bed due to the z30 being so bright at lowest setting in dark,
The Z10 is a perfect size when naked
Swappable battery (mind you I never used an extra battery I just charged 3 times a day)

I miss my Z10 a little but not enough to go back. I really like the screen size for video, reading and the odd game. The speakers are soooo much louder and better than the z10. I love the fact there is two on the Z30.
I would say the single biggest reason for me to use the z30 over the z10 is the battery life. I don't ever have to plug it in until I go to bed. Roll on the phones where I only need to charge once a week

Battery life might be be the deal breaker. The Z30 Battery is amazing and the stories about the Z10's battery life scare me..You can buy the Z10 so cheaply now, I could just get it as a backup and see for myself... Thanks for the info

Z30 is only 299 on shopbb. Not too much more to purchase Vs the Z10. And the Z30 plays android apps smoother

Battery life is not that bad on 10.3. I can go a full day with moderate usage. On days with heavy usage the Battery Bundle fills the gap. The battery is not as bad as some make it out to be but everyone's apps and usage patterns are different.

the only 2 advantages I think I would see with the z10 is the size and the display is better. z30 wins most anything else. z10 is $100 cheaper but at $299 the z30 is a better choice by far.

The removable battery is a huge plus for me. I have two spares ready to go when I need them so I never have to wait on the phone to charge. The battery isn't as bad as some people say. I get 10-12 hours of moderate to heavy use.

Plus there are so many more cases for the Z10. Z30 case selection is just pitiful.

I own them both. Using the Z30 as a daily driver for a few weeks now. Main difference as stated here is how size. On the Z10 you are able to touch anything on the screen with one hand. I've got large hands and am not able to do that without some fiddeling or oddly / badly gripped maneuver on the Z30.

Battery life is decent on the Z10 to last about a day on normal use. I'm sick at home at the moment and almost constantly gaming, reading, mailing, getting bored... the Z30 lasts me throughout the day from 5 in the morning till 12 o'clock at night (hello sickness, hello insomnia...). The Z10 couldn't do that by far. On the other side the oem batterypack is plain awesome and recharges your phone in no time, or you can directly swap the battery.

The Z10 is dead cheap secondhand at the moment, so I would consider getting one out of that channel.

If it's sheer size and portability that you're after you should consider the Q10 as well. It's by far the most comfortable phone in hand and pocket available at the moment. But the screen is just tiny...

Z10 allows wifi-calling on Tmo which, since I have no cell reception at home -- from any carrier -- is a must for me. And a must when I travel. Also prefer the size of the Z10. I get through the day with moderate use. Using the battery bundle or plugging into the car charger if needed is no hassle.

I touched and played with the Q10 and the size of the screen was tiny, but very comfortable in the hand. I think the Z10 is the perfect size for me and I am a heavy emailer, phone call, texting person.... not overly into video and other battery drainers... Maybe the Z10 with a battery back up would do the trick

An unlocked Z30 on T-Mobile does NOT have Wifi calling? but the Z10 does?

No burn in from an LCD display on the Z10, as there is on a Z30. Stay away from anything AMOLED. LCD screens are much brighter, and longer lasting. Not to mention the battery comes out of the Z10, generally cheaper if you need a replacement Z10, and the device is just rock solid in general. I love my Z10.

I just get my z10, after years with Samsung -_-

I know that z30 have more hardware power, and battery more efficient,

But I hate the design of z30, and z10 was the best =))

Well, z10 did the job, but if u have z30 you must look to a newer one, may BlackBerry make a new touch phone with more powerful within 6 month

Z10 has a removable battery. For battery power use a mugen or a battery case. A powerbank would be handy. That alone could kill a bunch of z30s. Hahaha

I had a z10 and loved it other than the battery life. I thought it was a nice looking device and a good size for a phone. But after several months with a z30, I much prefer the z30. I don't have any problems handling it in one hand, but I do have pretty big hands. I don't feel like it is over sized. The screen is great, and not constantly worrying about charging the phone is priceless.

    Great discussion and covers everything.

I have a Z10 on AT&T and love it, especially with 10.3.1.1016. The battery life is a downside, to be sure, but so easy to swap and charge in the battery pack that I don't even think about it. I don't use the speakers, so that doesn't matter to me. The Android apps run very well on my phone with 10.3. I've spent some time with the Z30 and don't like the screen or phone size as much as on the Z10. Bigger isn't always better. I wasn't aware of the issues of the AMOLED screen before this thread, but that's another reason for me to keep the Z10. All that said, if you want a bigger phone and screen (not a better screen), better speakers, and a built in FM radio, then get a Z30. You can't go wrong with either one.

One thing I know for sure is that I wouldn't trade my ancient Z10 in an even swap for an iPhone 6.

I agree with the general consensus. I've owned/used a z10, q10, and z30 and of the three the Z10 was by far my favorite. Great form factor and design, beautiful screen. I took a detour and went back to a 9900 but now im back. Got a new white z10 with 10.3 installed and it's awesome. Gonna try out one of those phone cases that have the built in chargers in them and see how that works before getting a charging bundle.

Size is the big one. The Z10 really is the sweet spot in terms of size. Screen is the other for me and design. I love the design of the Z10 especially the white. It's understated but looks great. The chin on the Z30 is just a big no for me.

Yer I had my Z30 on my lap whilst driving. Got out forgetting it was there and it went face first onto the tarmac. Typically the flip case opened up and didn't save it so I now have two chips in the chin. I'm planning on flattening it back and spraying it a different colour. What colour I haven't decided yet but I'm thinking some hard lacquer will help future mishaps to the chin

I've been debating the Z30 as well.
My only concern is the display. The one on the z30 isn't as bright and only has 294 ppi while the z10 has better brightness and a ppi of 356.
Hopefully the new z20 will address those issues as well as increase the screen size to atleast 4.8 inches.
