As I've said many times before, my texts are important to me and I don't want to get rid of them which meant I held off on downloading 10.2 when it first launched until a patch was released to fix the issue of missing SMS messages. This is aimed at those who've taken the plunge for 10.2.1: are your texts still there, even those from when you first got your phone?

All mine has come right back, but just in the text messages the contacts name isn't showing up for everyone, just some. But it does seem like a few are starting to sync over, not sure if it's just slow as it's indexing everything again. Been about 6 hours now since it installed 10.2.1.

Biggest change is the addition of the bar at the top of the keyboard. Much easier to attach things and send from. A simple addition but I feel it's made things quicker for me

Yep, I have this problem since first 10.2 leak, so I hoped that BB fix it. Apparently they don't care about fixing bugs...

No issues whatsoever with my texts in hub, or with WhatsApp or anything else people are combining about. All are still there including display names. I've never loaded a leak, only official OS updates. After loading 10.2.1 today, also no issues. Everything running smooth as silk including install of new Android apps. So no bugs here and not sure we should be blaming BlackBerry. My Z10 is working perfectly!! But yes, I do miss the PD clock!!

If you're worried, download and install SMS Backup or similar program from BB World and backup your text messages prior to upgrading.

As to my previous issue with the names not showing up in my text messages, they are now all indexed and good.
Text messages are no longer leggy with this update now.
