    Hi guys, I use a z10 and a pc with windows 8.1. When I use Internet tethering via USB I can connect to internet from desktop ( for example in chrome, IE, Skype desktop app etc...). but my problem is I cannot connect to internet from any of the metro ui apps(cannot use windows store, skype,mail, and every other app in the metro ui). If I check in the control panel it says not connected to any network.
    I can connect to internet in windows apps via both tethering via bluetooth and mobile hotspot.
    Have anyone else faced a similar issue. Is there any way to solve this??

    Unplug your ethernet cable or change the priority of your usb/wifi network to be above your LAN network.

    The problem is when I tether my phone via USB it does not recognise it as connected. In the above screen shot I have tethered my z10 but it says not connected.

    Just can't forget it.!

    Hotspot works and also the desktop apps can connect to internet. That's the reason I did not post about this issue in the forum for long. I just wanted to know is there anyone out there who have this problem and any solution available to this.

    I have never tried tethering since hotspot works so well.

    I don't know. Modern apps work on my tablet using WiFi hotspot. I can't USB tether to it to try that.

    I used thethring last week and I have noticed that when I activate it just works but I can't see any sign of it...
    So it works when I have WiFi and it keeps working when WiFi is off ( but still no sign of it)

    For me too it works with wifi hotspot. Just not with USB tethering.
