I will say something I'm noticing and mind you I have had my device since the middle of February. Before the update I could get 3 bars of 4G being in my basement. Now I'm having problems connecting the network. This could be because of bad weather right now but it looks somehow I will keep a eye on.

So if I do update can I revert to the previous version if it does indeed take away hot spot? I can't get link to do a backup that's why I ask.

Yup! Got it here in Chicago last night. It never automatically restarted the phone, so I pulled the battery and all is well! Thanks T-Mobile!

Don't see any improvement in battery life after the T Mobile update. Looks like it was an update to just ensure some settings are locked down.

I'd recommend restoring to the old. 672..

I bought a Canada 100-3 model locked to Rogers, Unlocked it and received two updates right off the bat, first one was around 160MB and the last one was 782 MB. As everyone stated, I now have a T-Mobile My Account app and the T-Mobile Start-Up and Shutdown Logos now appear.

I am getting a 4G and 4G LTE Icon and so far there have been no issues. I suspect this will probably be the software version the T-Mobile US models will have when the device launches on March 27th.

By the way, I have showed my new z10 to several people like myself who strayed away from the BB platform a few years back and the z10 has convinced me to come back and I am glad I did. They are also waiting for the z10 and are going to switch back, very positive.

I'd managed to roll it back to
10....672. T mo updated me 10.85... After I popped in the sim.

Note that I completely wiped the phone, pulled out the sim, installed Link on a different laptop, created a new blackberry Id to avoid downloads of any remnants from app world,performed the software update from the blackberry website, rebooted the phone, signed in and setup the whole unit and THEN popped in the Sim.

My Os version was. 672 up until this stage. Once the phone had the sim inserted, it downloaded the t mobile jingle and the boot screen...BUT the OS now says 10...85
And it hasn't downloaded the my Account app and slacker radio yet.

I'm hoping there an improvement now

Just checked hotspot... don't have it.

To be fair though... I never checked the feature till date.. so can't be sure..

Have received several small 4MB update notices from T-Mobile over the past few days. Resisted urge to update as I am happy with the current 85 setup and am afraid the small tweak will only detract. Have hotspot capability in settings but haven't used it. "If it ain't broke.. "

Yes that's correct... I tried hooking up my laptop and it went to the t mobile services page
