    How do I enable lte on my z10?

    I'm in an lte enabled area, but lte never shows up on my carrier status (4G without the LTE branding).
    I called Att tech support, and they told me that they have updated my sim/phone to accept lte. Still no lte icon on my 100-3.

    Does the icon change from 4G to 4G LTE on Att, or is that just something that happens for z10s on other carrirs?

    Are you sure you're in an LTE area? You won't see it unless you are.

    If you're sure you are, just pop into an AT&Tn store for a new SIM.

    Get a new SIM and activate it. Same thing happened to me. Those bastards, I made them give me a month credit because I was only getting 4G. Cheap sobs too.

    Go to an att store tell them the issue and get a new sim, activate and you should be set.

    Yep. I'm in an lte are confirmed by an Att tech support. I was told that my sim has been remotely updated to accept lte. I don't know if it was actually "remotely updated".

    My z10 still doesn't show 4GLTE.

    I called a tech, restarted my phone did a battery pull, and posted on here because I needed to know if the icon is supposed to show up for an Att branded z10. My post is warranted by that fact. Without a frame of reference there would be no way I would know.

    Please stay off this thread unless you have something else to contribute other than being a dip.

    I did contribute something useful and you ignored it. They can try to remotely reactivate, but if it doesnt work you need to go into the att store and get a new sim then call att to activate the new sim. And yes it willsayLTE when youre in coverage.

    I had this issue when I switched to my Z10 from an iPhone and I had to get a new SIM from the AT&T store.

    I always understood that you need a specific LTE sim card for that to work.

    I have the right sim, but it was activated on a non lte phone (nexus 4). I know that there are issues if a lte capable sim is first activated with a non lte capable phone (which is why I called tech support hoping to have it done remotely).

    Now that 2 people have confirmed that the lte icon will show up within the status bar for Att branded z10s, and still am only 4G only after trying to resolve it remotely I will get another sim.

    LTE was activated today. Earlier today I was lucky enough to speak with a tech support rep. who was willing,and able to remotely activate the lte capabilities.

    I can't believe no one would show you a screen shot. Hope this helps, as others have said you might have to go and get a new SIM card. If your phone still does not say LTE on it they lied to you on the "remote update".

    I have the AT&T with the LTE up, and running. The first rep that I spoke with when I first posted didn't exactly do what I needed (just told me what I wanted to hear, and assured me that everything was done remotely). Today I lucked out, and spoke with a rep that made things happen (in less time than my first call!).

    Yeah, I am. Running 1767 and getting LTE.

    In fact, I've run two other leaks before this one and never had any problems getting LTE.

    Yea if you're only seeing the 4G without LTE icon attached you should call tech support, and have them update your account (phone imei will be needed, and a battery pull/restart is necessary, so call tech. sup. with a different phone) let them know that it is a blackberry, and it does not need BIS. If you have the proper lte capable sim (9th+10th digits of the serial number on the sim is 25, and over for lte capable) they can do it remotely.

    The first time I spoke with a tech rep the rep told me what I wanted to hear, but did not activate the lte. When I spoke to a second rep. I told her that I had my neighbors phone with me who has the same phone with the same carrier, and that my neighbors phone shows lte while my phone did not. I don't know if that story made the difference, but after the phone call I restarted the phone, and had the LTE icon available....

    For all it's worth lte is worth having since there is a significant speed boost. Before lte I was getting speed tests of 3-8mbps.
    After lte I get 10-14mbps. I can stream a video without a hassle now.
