Two things I've noted since the update. My battery seems to take longer to reach a full charge and my battery life, which was already good, has improved. Don't have any Android ports or side loaded apps.
I'm beginning to suspect that Android apps may be the source of my battery woes. I've removed almost all of them from my device and so far, I'm at 25% (which is only 10%/2hrs. rate of drain, which is the best I've seen since getting the device). I think I should easily be able to make to midnight or beyond with a single charge.

I have several Android apps, side loaded and ports from BlackBerry World. The only one that really taxed the phone when closed was eBay. That crap app kept keeping tasks running in the background and slowly but surely drained the battery with pulling between 0.5-0.7W at all times. The only way to stop this was rebooting the phone after using the app.
Turning off all the options in the settings did not help.
Funny is that on the PB the same app didn't cause that.

I removed Songza, Kindle, WordHero, YouVersion's Bible, Taptu, OpenTable, Tapatalk, and Waze. It seems to have done something.

We should begin to keep a running list of apps known to cause battery drain. I don't know if any of the apps I removed were causing the drain, but it definitely did slow down the rate of drain after removing them.

Out of all of those I have OpenTable and have no battery issues. So I doubt it's that.

At first when I heard about the eBay app, I thought bull...., but then I installed Advanced Task Manager and lo and behold that enabled me to track down what kept draining the battery and my phone hot.

Since upgrading calendar entries no longer connected to associated emails and documents. Anyone else know how to re-establish the association?

    How do you get this?

EDIT: Oh, it's an android app
And FlashFare11, I only have kindle from that list so I'll uninstall that and see. I use my kindle keyboard anyway.

I just had my first random reboot since the update (and second since launch day). Phone was just charging when I noticed the boot logo on the device. It was even a bit strange. Usually the logo fills up and then I get the AT&T splash screen. This time I couldn't even tell if the logo had even reached 100% before it went straight from the home screen. The AT&T splash screen didn't show up. I've never seen that happen before. I just hope that everything is settled in now.

I just watched mine showing the black screen with the white "BlackBerry" in the middle. The phone was just laying there idle with no apps running and plugged into the charger, already charged full. WTF?

BlackBerry world got a "Built for BlackBerry" tile, right underneath the featured tile. I was hoping this would happen

Everyone who updates, please note that once your carrier releases their update, you might not be able to update it to that.

No you can't. BlackBerry Link reloading checks for updates, doesn't find any and reboots the phone.

    Hi Guys,

I'm running the .116 OS via the autoloader on STL100-2. Has anyone of you experienced problems in the Android Player? I now get a process.system.apps error when I launch.

UPDATE : Forget it! I re-installed the OS and it's not the OS that has the problem. Probably one of the apps I sideloaded in vnBB10. I'd still prefer the DDPB if that's the case then.

    Thanks
