A very, very preliminary result is that being in the hub for me requires a lot less power than it did(thank goodness) and the time required to send text messages has decreased. Again, very, very preliminary results.

Probably because since my Z10 was always on a Canadian network and I put a AT&T SIM in my device that it decided to reload the entire OS, update and all.

Ahh crap...I've only been gone from BB for a short 6 months, & I forget the 1st thing when doing anything....BACK UP.
I hope this doesn't affect/delete any data on my side loaded apps....

OK, a couple of items;
1...A BIGGIE! My smtp server now works! Spread the word! Might still be a problem? My email test was tagged as SPAM. Will investigate further.
2...Didn't have to re-load 3rd party apps. Couple of the started slowly the first time opening after update, but faster after that.

Wow, AT&T first with an OS update?? Waiting to see what changes...I still haven't updated to .88 (I'm on Rogers .85 and it works great)...was afraid they'd take mobile hotspot away from me

is there anyway to force the update on an non at&t SIMd device? like is there an .exe to download and then manually load it on to the z10?

Get your hands on an AT&T SIM, provisioned or not...I'm on AT&T and updated to the Rogers .85 software when it was first released, using a Rogers SIM I got off of eBay.
