Syncing Z10 with Outlook contacts/calendar

I have the latest Blackberry Link...and...the latest software for my Z 10. I sync it with Outlook contacts and calendar. Sometimes it works smoothly. Sometimes it won't sync no matter what I do. For a while I thought is depended upon whether I open Link first or connected the phone first. It synced trouble free for the last couple of months and then....today........ggggrrrrrrrrrr.

The curious thing is that when it works properly it asks for a password before it syncs. When it won't it doesn't.

HELP!

Any suggestions?

Do you have a password set on your device?
Maybe that or parental controls activated.
I give my vote though to device password.
If you you have a password on the device, try to disable it and make a couple of tries with BB Link.
Please give us feedback.

I do use a password on the device and have since I got it. I disabled it and it still will not sync. I checked the parental controls and they are off.

The curious thing is...when it syncs properly...Blackberry Link asks me for the password...in order to proceed. When it does not sync properly it does not.

So sorry to hear that.
Maybe you should try a full uninstall of link, a clean of registry with a tool and a fresh installation of the latest version, which in my opinion is not the best.
In my case, after updating to the latest link, I do not get the automated daily backup. I have to initiate it manually.

I created an outlook account....now I sync my contacts and calendar over the air.
It's the best way!!!!

Same here. Outlook to Hotmail to BB and vice-ce-verse.

Very frustrating...I have uninstalled and reinstalled Blackberry Link. It still will not sync with Outlook. It should be a very basic thing to sync a Blackberry and Outlook.
