If you are at the homescreen of the app and do the back swipe gesture (I presume your talking about android) then it will take you to the active frame screen
any app I try it with it goes to active frames, which app do you get the gesture to work properly

that only works with android apps. it will not work with native apps.
So with native apps we would have to swipe from the top so the back button comes up at the bottom
Can I get an example of which app does it so I can try it o

No that's an Android app.

On a native app you swipe the screen to go back like in the hub

The android back swipe is more horizontal than diagonal.
Start your swipe on the bottom bezel on the B in BlackBerry and finish on the edge of the screen above the Y, or vice versa
In essence, with Android apps, on Android, pressing the Back button will close the app. On the Z10, instead of fully closing the app, it goes to the active frame. From what I can tell, it is not running anymore, and can be closed from there. If you click on it, it starts back up just like it would if you clicked on the icon.
