Someone please help me, I can't swipe up when my phone is locked, that is when the display is off but it works after I press the unlock button.

Have you rebooted your phone?
Maybe something is locking the action, just like a computer a reboot fixes issues.

Try a battery pull and make it sit for about 10 min. Then put it back in and power it back on.

Didn't try it, will try it but yeah now I have to swipe twice every time to unlock it, when the display is off! :S

Guys nobody got any resolution to this problem? I tried removing the battery for 10 mins but still I have to swipe twice! That is when the display is off and if I swipe up to unlock, neither the display will turn on nor it unlocks, but when I swipe up the 2nd time it works! Why is that!? I never had this problem earlier

Do u use a case for your device? Some cases have a magnet in their back and interfere the device electronics.

Allow gestures when locked = on
Allow power/lock button to unlock = off

Is this correct? Have you made any other changes program installs etc?

Try swiping slower and making sure you swipe up through the bezel or outer of the screen area.

Any chance there is some damage to the bottom of the screen?

3 yeah I swipe from outside the screen, I have been using this for the past 6 months, never had this problem before!

Hehehe, sorry but I had to ask. Sometimes the screen doesn't detect the fingers if they're really cold

Maybe the sensor is jacked up. If your phone is naked maybe a hit could have caused the problem

No I mean like I can swipe up to unlock the second time I try it when the display is off! And it works flawlessly when the display is on.

This was happening to me yesterday also. Never had a problem before. It went away after a reboot. Could have been a recent download, etc. All good now.

I had a problem where a Z10 wouldn't stayed locked. The phone was freshly security wiped with nothing on it. No matter what I tried the device wouldn't stay locked.
I took the battery out over night, made sure it was fully charged first, was at least 14hrs.
And when I popped it back in the morning, it was working fine again and has had absolutely no problems since

Happened to me once yesterday where the first swipe worked but to swipe unlock it wouldn't. Tried 3 or 4x. Hit the lock button and tried again and was back to normal for me.
