Call me Mr. Apologist or whatever you want but maybe this was a good thing for Blackberry in the US (minus the missed opportunity of advertising during the Superbowl. I understand all the bad, trust me!) But what we didn't see was the announcement of Netflix, Instagram, Hulu+ and some other potential big name "game changers". Had it launched in the US without these apps then there would be an even softer response from the states. Maybe they're testing them now or maybe using the world's success as proof positive that the brand is worth it. Also, even the crackberry team took some issues with some of the UI and UX. Blackberry has only one shot in the US, so it has to be perfect. that being said, im sure there will be an update or two between now and then to correct thoses issues. Do I still wish Big Red gave me my phone today? Yes but I'm hoping whatever snafu happened turns out net positive.
