I know there has been talks about the "other data" in the phones and not really knowing what it's for of how to lower it(would love help there), but I just noticed this, and it makes it even stranger to me:






Can anyone make sense of this?

The "other data" is still a mystery I think. Some people this its files left by uninstalled apps, especially android ports. I dont know. You can do a wipe to get the data back but its not the best option and many others seem to be having this issue too

"Other Data" Is a combination of OS, App, and other various items like email storage. The "Other Data" on my Z10 is currently at 6.1 GB. When I installed my work's Exchange email account the "Other Data" on my phone went from 5.8 GB to 5.9 GB as it was pushed a month's worth of emails.

I get those things, I think the confusion is that it says so much memory has been used, but it still has that amount available.

Please explain more the numbers look right to me... 8% of 13 is ~1.04 and 14.7 + 1.1 plus those other lil MBs would equal 16

That's what it was, I was actually reading it wrong. Though I was seeing it as 8% of 13gb free, it kept registering as 13gb free.

I'll go home, I'm drunk. Lol.
