I got my sister one of the Z10 (sorprise don't tell her) from the sale in Blackberry's web page a couple of weeks ago, it is a STL100-3, so I was getting it prep for Christmas but it is in 10.1 I hoped it will get the 10.2 since my ex STL100-1 got it here in Ecuador, so I guess this model is tied with the US updates rollout, can someone confirm me that it will get the update (at least at the pace US gets it) or should I risk with sachesi.

If I take the risk with sachesi the 10.2 versions I have found so far are only form Canada (Telus and Rogers) but the radio version is not the same that I got in the STL100-1 here in Ecuador, could that radio version be a problem?

    Thanks in advance.

P.S: The phone works fine, I tested calling and SMS no problem with the bands here.

Is for my sister and she is not tech saavy so I wouldn't wan't her to have problems with the OS, I would use one of the official versions via sachesi but I'm not sure if there could be problems with the radio version if I use for example the Rogers Canada OS, if someone confirm me that the radio will work I will update with sachesi.

I used Sachesi to load the Rogers 10.2 on my Verizon (cdma device) without problems. Frankly, I don't really understand how the load process deals with the RADIO differences or somehow that is just not an issue.

I would try 10.2.1.1055. I think it's worth it, and you could test drive it before you give it to your sister.

I would not advise a leak to a noob! Smh at such advice!!! Use sachesi http://m.crackberry.com/how-get-os-102-update-right-now to load 10.2 official I have a -3 and loaded rogers no problem. If it's unlocked it should get the update of the carrier sim in use.

    ? AT&T Z10 STL100-3/10.2.0.1791 ?

If im not mistaken radio versions depend on the Stl model and the Stl models operate on different frequencies/bands. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/BlackBerry_Z10 look under model comparison.

    ? AT&T Z10 STL100-3/10.2.0.1791 ?

Thank you, the phone worked fine with my sim which is the same carrier as my sisters so bands are fine, but I understand that different carriers in different countries use different radio files, so my concern is if I install from sachesi the Rogers version for example that could mess with the antenna, if the phone will work with any radio version I may take the leap with sachesi, but that's the thing I don't have totally clear, does the radio file may get the phone useless or it has nothing to do with it?

Totally agree, definitely not going with a leak just thinking about sachesi

That's exactly what I want to know, the radio files are the same for all the devices of each model or the carriers may have them customized for their networks? That's my concern

I think you should be good. Worst case you would have to downgrade to 10.1. Give it a try and use with your sim so it will be ready for your sis
