Hi guys,

I have STL100-2 which I have recently updated to OS 10.0.10.90 using Vodafone UK sim card. All the users who have done the same thing with STL100-2, can you please comment on the battery life after the update, whether it is better or worse or no apparent change. Specifically what is the effect on battery life with data usage.

Sorry EE/Orange guys, but why don't you take a voda sim and do the needful.
And another problem is that there is no proper way to actually quantify the change in the battery life before or after the update. Every day the usage is different, so one day we may get 15 hours and another day only 10 hours depending on the usage of the device on that particular day. So how to confidently say the battery life is better. All we can say that it seems to be better.

Vodafone Italy still stuck on 10.0.10.32 since 25th February. Battery life isn't bad but looking forward to the supposed improvements offered by these more recent updates.

My usage is almost identical every day. I will definitely be able to get a good read on the improvement.

A for the Sim swap: I am refusing to pay out even more money and go through the nonsense of begging for unlock codes for a system update that is included in the price of my one month old blackberry.

Well I just swaped the Sim card from friend having vodafone and did the update last week and well I see much improvement. On friday after 17hours including about half an hour phoning, syncing and using googlemail+facebook the hole day, surfing few minutes and playing radiant defense (damn mission 8 ) for 1.5 hours I still had 35% battery left.

if u have problems with your battery consumption after an upgrade just do like i did,take it out and reboot occurs.after that i had really good battery life.amazing battery life .it,s kind of scarry when it happens to you though,there is lite at the end of the tunnel

Canada- after I updated and removed the battery and reboot, my battery life is about 30% more. My battery use to really drain during texting and BBM. Well that has really really improved. Another is if your not using your Z10- but have 4 active frames open , you really notice the difference and improvements. great work Z10 OS.

Here is my experience for the first day after the update.

Battery life seems to be better. I would say there is an improvement of about 20 to 30%. Check the screenshots. I woukd say today the battery performance for me was at par with the galaxy s3 I had earlier.

Yes an android port. Works pretty well, battery indicator is the name. This atleast gives some idea of the battery affecting factors as I have seen that for me the call time and the display on time govern the battery life.
