    You are in luck, for an excellent thread answering your question exists here.

    Something not in the radio-centric thread: The STL100-1 has a OMAP SoC, while the STL100-2/3/4 have the Snapdragon S4 SoC (for LTE)

    In a nutshell
    STL 1 has no LTE
    STL 2 is everybody else's LTE sans the Americas
    STL 3 and 4 are LTE for ATT and Verizon respectively.
