Yes it is. Picked up my z10 about a month or so ago on ebay. I use it on the tmobile network with no problems. I may not be eligible for the 10.3 update but I'm not concerned. If you choose to get the z10 make sure you have a USB cable or portable charger available. The battery can drain pretty fast

I still use it and still get updates. Just don't buy the stl100-1 version. Plagued with issues because of its omap processor. The Z10 also uses the same SoC as the Classic and Leap so it's definitely still relevant.

Have an stl100-1 Z10 running 10.3.1 and getting 18 plus hours battery life plus 3 hours to go before charging ! phone runs smooth with no issues at all. Still time to buy a z10 ?-imageuploadedbycb-forums1426619799.519047.jpg screen shot is in Spanish but easy to see the battery life. Rocking with my stl100-1

Ok thanks to all, but I have a last question, does the z10(or os 10 if you prefer) BIS or can I just use all the functions like a regular phone ? Because I have BIS now and I find it a bit annoying because it costs a lot :/

No more BIS-use as a regular phone and by the way my z10 has 10.3.1.2582 and runs beautifully!

No BIS for all BlackBerry 10 devices.

Spend you money on Android or Windows Phone is my tip. The Z10 has so many possible issues especially with 10.3.1. I say possible because not all users experience the same problems.

Same advice. Spend your money on other device.

In case you want BlackBerry, keep in mind that Z10 is the worst device for 10.3.1 OS update. Q10, Classic, Z10 all have the same hardware, but Z10 has highest resolution screen (518400 vs 983040 pixels). More pixels - more work for the CPU/GPU. It's more likely to see lag on Z10 than on any other BB10 device. From legacy devices Z30 is best - faster CPU, better GPU and lower resolution screen.

We all have different understanding of "great". It depends what you compare it to.

Why, if the OP wants a BB10 device, why spend your money on Android? Sorry, some people don't want the invasive privacy issues associated with Android. There is nothing wrong with my Z10, it works perfectly. I have been on 10.3.1 for over a month now with no issues. As far as battery life is concerned, if I am in the local area with good signal, mine lasts all day. If I am traveling out of the country with bad signal, it dies quickly, of course I am doing nothing but reading websites and newsfeeds thens o it is constant use. For that, I have multiple batteries, they are cheap for this phone.

At home or work, keep the thing plugged in once in a while. It is better for the battery anyway to keep it charged, than it is to fully discharge it. When it is at 50% plug it in for a while.

This is probably true in the case of z10 with 10.3.1.xxxx. Mine runs well with no serious lag at all but I have only a few android apps on the device (4 only). I also do not play any games on my device. So it really depends, IMHO, what you want to put on your device I guess.

My 100-2 Works great on new OS, secret is to wipe the phone before loading update. Try to install apps and apply settings rarther then via backup!

I see Z10 skipping frames in screen movement and animations even on a clean BB10 system with no 3rd party apps installed. UI is nothing even close to fluidity of popular mobile OS in 2015. Some users may not see the lag, but it's almost constant. I used to play FPS tournaments on screens with 240fps refresh rate, my eye catches the lag instantly. Android before JellyBean was lagging in exactly the same way like BB10.

Not for me, my Z10 STL 100-2 runs very good and no issues at all on 10.3.1.2585.
But the thing about the battery is right. When I BBM,browse, etc the battery drains very fast. I lost 30% in 1 hour. In standby it is good on the latest OS.

    LOL...

10.3.1 on Q10 looks too busy (because of large objects on a small screen), but runs better compared to Z10 (the reason is described in post #10). Passport has no lag issues, much faster hardware. Never played with Classic, but it will run better too, same like Q10.

And by the way. Last week i turned my old android phone back on ( because my old bold 9780 died) to use it as my work phone. No data plan on it, only calls and texting. When wifi on I can use everything. But man, Android OS is the biggest mess you can imagine.

That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. The z10 was never slow to begin with, and everyone with a z10 agrees the new OS works wonderfully. You're really one hell of a hater man.

For OP, go Z30, the battery life is double that of the Z10 ! Otherwise you will walk around with a charger all the time
