Not sure if anyone has mentioned how quick (or not) orange were with the jelly bean update for the s3........

I think in the end it was 3 months after Vodafone UK released it. So don't get your hopes up.

Pathetic - been an Orange customer for 15+ years and the updates have got slower and slower.

Noticed that windows phone users are also chasing orange/ee regarding slow updates so we're not alone.

Been an orange customer for over ten years but I'll certainly be moving elsewhere as soon as I can.

I complained on EE's Facebook wall, this was their response:

"Hi Andrew, we are aiming to launch the update as soon as possible. We do not currently have a date of when the update will be released as it needs to be thoroughly tested before it is made available. As soon as the update is launched, you will be able to download it via Blackberry Link or on your phone."

    Talk about a non-response :/

Yeah because of course orange engineers know considerably more about blackberry software than the people who wrote it

Tested my ***. I have a 9900 on tmobile which is using. 861 the latest 7.1 update with removed vendor files from a network in new zealand. Then I've had to update my unlocked z10 on orange using the Vodafone sim a week ago. Both are working fine I can confirm so I've tested for em they should release both updates. They have such a cheek considering there recent price rises...

In my experience EE, under the Orange guise were always terrible at releasing updates, and usually added more branding with the few they did bother with.

I got bored of waiting for 3 too, so stuffed a Vodafone SIM in tonight and now have a considerably better z10.

I take it the same Vodafone upgrade would work for a T-Mobile phone as an Orange one, with both being 'EE'

Yes it will work as long as your phone is unlocked to all networks.

I really hoped today would be the day. I guess not.

What an infuriating experience this is. It's a bloody update from blackberry themselves, not some back-alley coder truing to squeeze an app past the security checks. My lunch time is going to be spent pestering these jokers on the telephone, then assuming that achieves nothing more than bringing my blood to the boil, I will find a Tesco's after work and annoy myself even more. The stubborn side of me wants to wait for the update, my blackberry addict side wants the best blackberry experience available. Guess which wins?

I have been told that the reason for them not releasing it yet is to do with Orange/EE wanting to integrate their My World app and a few other carrier specific bits into the update. It should have hit within a week of Vodafone but a problem has come up with the T-Mobile app, hopefully it will hit within the next 5-7 days.
I am also starting to get impatient with EE, not just with this but also with Orange customer service.

Well, that's more info than I've been able to drag out of anyone. Why the **** they can't release it without MyEE is beyond me.

Why should us on EE rather than Orange or T Mobile have to wait for an app we arent getting if our one is ready they should just release it!

I don't mind waiting a few more days IF the information is accurate and not just fobbing us off. Nobody likes being lied to just to take the heat off their lack of customer care.
