Friends Z10 crashed and despite several battery pulls it won't load up.
It slowly gets to 95% and stays there. She is a BlackBerry 10 convert of mine so this is not ideal. Any ideas ??

Do you have a backup? Load the OS again using autoloader and then load the backup. That's the surest way to get up and running. Otherwise, pull the battery, put it in and let it sit to see if it will boot.

You might want to connect to the BBLink software and try reloading the OS that way, first.
Visit the Leak OS subforum. There will be a discussion of Autoloaders. You need to find the version that matches your model, 1,2,3 or 4.
Okay, thanks. Out of curiosity, how would be reload the OS from link if the phone will not start up in the first place ?

I don't know the technical details and it might not work. BUT when connected, I'd guess BBLink does some low level connection. And it can then reload the OS. But sometimes folks do get "can't connect with phone" errors. But give it a try.
Also, sometimes, the reload OS process can begin with NO battery in the device. It gets enough power from the USB to start the process, then asks for the battery to be replaced. So the software does have some very low level communications ability.
