So in New Zealand prices went from $800-$1000 to $400-500 in months. Prices being slashed in half (which will probably drop even more as people try and get rid of stock) is a trend worldwide as we all know.

Locally some stores I've seen are also throwing in extra freebies; screen protectors, cases, car chargers-- you pick!

Similarly, companies selling Z10 cases and accessories are having hefty discounts. They will have an even harder time. A company I bought a Z10 wallet case from discounted the product and also gave me a free screen protector lol!

For someone like myself who wanted a Z10 after acknowledging Blackberry's problems, I have to say it is a ridiculously cushy experience if you shop online. You almost get rewarded for buying anything Z10-related with gifts and incentives xD. Great for the buyer, but a lousy sign for Blackberry and retailers alike, when you have to practically give the device and accessories away.

What is the most impressive deal or combo on the Z10 you have seen?

Bb10 devices got really cheap bnib trading. Which is great if you want a low cost but awesome phone.

I'm debating on the z30 yet. Anything I get replaces my LE or ends up in my box of test phones (like my q10, etc)

That price will probably go down even more once the z30 is released. Online retailers expansys.ca and canadagsm.ca
have already lowered it to around 400.

well its one way to get them into consumers hands, this may all work out in the end. The more that use them, the more that will like them, they tell 2 friends, and they tell 2 friends, and so on and so on....

I would never buy a phone now on the private market unless I knew them personally. Canada recently started a blacklist program and I have heard of more and more phones becoming imei locked or in BlackBerry case pin locked.

Your fooling your self if you think that. Rogers is just "fronting or lending" you the $650 dollars which is the cost of the phone. Same goes for all the carries.

Yeah. I never get phones on contract. I'd rather pay extra and then save 10-15% monthly.

Plus this way I walk from my carrier anytime if they start changing things.

not really, they are "fronting" about $300. My contract is unchanged. Either way I "paid" zero.
bringing my own phone gets me $20 off/mo. Best price on a new Z10 around $350
    So I'm OK

    but

Thanks for the life lesson , I know nothing nothing is really free

That's why I always ask if they have a receipt. No proof of purchase means I walk away.
