    'sup guys, speaker and the audio jack on my Z10 have stopped working. but the speaker still makes a cracking sound when i plug things into the audio jack. would anyone know if its a loose connection or is it done for? also when the headphones are plugged in and i press the volume up key it flicks between headphones/media. thanks in advance!

    No expert but could be hardware issue. Sounds like could be loose connection but dont hold it against me if im wrong

    The exact same thing gas happened to my z10. From reading threads in the last I heard there is no was to fix it and carriers were just replacing devices instead of repairing them.

    BlackBerry for life. Kick'n it with my Z10.

    Would be fun to take apart and try to fix yourself if it was a hardware issue though

    Does anyone know what the average life span of the Z10 headphone jack is supposed to be? I got mine back in February, so it been about 10 months now. Been using it as my primary music player every day. Sounds like it's starting to cut out on the left side (using a number of different headsets). Is it an easy fix?...Thanks for your help!

    One would hope that it is put through a reasonable series to stress tests (in/out) and that daily use should not stress it to a breaking point. But there are possible issues on some units?

    Yeah warranty.... Sent it to Rogers, came back within a week and a half.
    But I upgraded to the z30 after, never looked back
