I would love an app that automatically responds to a text when I turn it on. Sort like an out of office reply.
I drive a lot and need something that alerts my contacts when they text me that I can't respond right now, but will get back to them as soon as possible.

If u like why not use voice control to respond to txt. It works very well for me

Yeh. The whole point being not to touch the phone at all while driving.
The distracted driving laws are stiff where I live, and rightly so they should be.

I agree with the op. Would be a cool app.

However it is interesting how times have changed and everyone expects an instant reply. Just because a text has been sent, a bbm shows as delivered or the same for a Whatsapp message. It doesn't mean I'm going to reply right away!!

Irks me that as I drive throughout the day people want an immediate response.

In lieu of an app I just toss my phone in the back seat and let people deal with it. They can wait.
