Couldn't agree more. I'm dying for that playbook update. The only reason I bought it this year was that it would be updated to BB10 to go well with my z10. Without BB10 its not even worth it.

from my side i Agree with "rickgainsmith" because carriers in Middle east mmm lets say the most technological method to fix a BB service problem is to make a battery pull! lets say thats there own solutions, how u think they pushing updates?! i dont think so

so please BB make ur updates away from carriers push

I agree with you, but for some reason all updates go through the carriers. I think there is a reason for that. Can somebody please enlightenment me?

I tried the Web update on my stl100-2. But it wanted me to reload 10.0.10.90 which iv already got on my phone

There is lots of testing and customization that carriers do on devices to make sure they meet their quality standards and business objectives. The last thing a carrier wants is to release a flawed software update that messes up millions of their customers daily lives and causes a huge image problem for them.

My device also shows update available even though I already have the same version installed. Bb technician told me that it is there because I had deleted an app that preloaded with the phone. In my case I deleted LinkedIn. After I took the update, LinkedIn came back and the notification for update was gone. Hope this helps.

BB Link that is sir.
After the reload do the update via Link as well and then the restoration procedure.

I cannot guarantee though that you will get the update to .10.99.
People say it is not availlable everywhere.
Personally I do not understand why this should happen...

Probably because you state your carrier is Rogers right on your Crackberry profile.
