but after the upgrade my device showed me my previous OS

i can see improvments on third party app (android app from BB world work faster)

Same thing happened to me.
You have to do a WEB update as described in the stickies.
BEWARE. Do a full backup before because you will need to restore afterwards.

Everything is going to be fine, except that you will be annoyed by BB link asking you to redo the update even though your phone will already be updated...

If you read the sticky you will see it says that you have to shutdown the phone and poll for the update while it is booting up.
That is how I did it the first time.
The second time I performed an OS reload from BB Link and while it started up again it automatically downloaded the latest update.
BEWARE. Do a full backup before because you will need to restore afterwards.

Well looking it's a start to seeing if you can apply it to your own device, but I figure it will require some extra tweaking of the installer and or it's files to make it go.

I did the Link backup, however, had the same problem. It loaded most of my pictures again. Spent much time deleting them. This is the second time this has happened. Pretty sure I was doing it correctly.

For some of the different carriers there are different release dates for the updates. Especially the big carriers have some customization in the update. For example, for BELL they want to phone to say BELL in some of the setups. It's the same for the other big carriers. The main bulk of the operating system and software is the same as the rest.

It's been already described somewhere in the forums, but I still wanna share. This method works really nice. I was able to update my factory unlocked STL100-2 Z10 with a SIM card of MTS-Russia (provider, which doesn't even support Z10 officially yet) to 10.0.10.90. No 10.0.10.99 showing for me at the moment. So, the updating method is pretty simple. No SIM removal needed.

!!!!BEFORE PROCEEDING DO A FULL BACK UP IN LINK!!!!!!!

1) Connect your Z10 to your Windows PC (or Mac running WIndows via Bootcamp) with USB cable
2) Launch Internet Explorer and go to BlackBerry - Software Updates - New Update Software for BlackBerry Smartphones - US
3) !!!SWITCH OFF!!! your Z10 buy holding the power button ontop of device
4) Click 'Check for Updates' button on the website
5) When the pop-up window asks for the PIN of your device, press the power button on your Z10 once. The device starts booting and the window appears saying that it's looking for Software Updates
6) When the message with the update available for your device pops-up, click 'Update' to update to the suggested version or 'Cancel' to cancel the update. After cancelling all your data stays intact. No need to restore from back-up.

After the update finishes restore from back-up you've performed BEFORE the update!!!

Ofc, it's only for STL100-2. The latest for STL100-1 is 10.0.10.82 (10.0.10.648).

i'm in singapore, my "check updates" says there's new update for my BB10, but after going through the update, it doesn't change, still showing software release .90 and os version.690...any idea why this is so?

That's because your mobile operator still didn't push this software update or simply doesn't support Z10.
