Done. Didn't even reset the device after. I'm inclined to think that 'update' did sweet F A!

Thanks for this heads up. I just updated my software to 10.0.10.99 too! I'm in Singapore, and with M1.

I was given the prompt to reset now or later. You will need to reset, for sure.

Alrighty what's going on here then? I'm already on 10.0.10.82 and i've just got a prompt to update to the same firmware.

Using an unlocked STL100-1 in Australia with an Indian Airtel sim card to update (usually use Telstra for everyday use). I never had any Airtel carrier apps so this update can't be to replace those??

    Attachment 144018

See where it says "Blackberry 10 Applications"? And that it is 5MB?

That is not an OS update.

Most likely that is just your carrier pushing their own apps back to your device that you deleted.

People, keep the following in mind:

    • Software bundle updates are frequently CARRIER or REGION SPECIFIC
    • OS updates are MODEL-SPECIFIC. An update for Z10 model STL100-1 will generally NOT WORK on Z10 model STL100-2.
    • The update you will get depends on which carrier you are activated on, or which carrier SIM you have installed in your device
    • There are TWO different version numbers: 1) Software Release version, 2) OS Version
    • The Software Release version is the usual number reported on the "Update" page. If you want to find the OS version, go to the "About" page (About / Category / OS)
    • If you get an update notification that says "Applications", or if it does not update the "OS Version", or if it is very small (ie 5MB), it is NOT an OS upgrade. It could be either a small OS patch, or just your carrier trying to re-install some apps it loads on the device by default. (Usually because you deleted them. Rather than delete them, just move them to a "junk" or "unused" folder etc)

No update here, stuck at 85.

Badly need another update to fix a few bugs. BT audio is not streaming to car speakers; LTE sign disappears from time to time...

I updated yesterday. It's a but early to tell what the difference is but it does seem to be better on the battery front.

    New update for my STL100-2.
    Updating now!

Says battery improvements and support for third party apps.
For those who wonder, being installed via BB link.
You should have have downloaded the update through BlackBerry's Update website and re-uploaded it somewhere.

Has NOTHING at all to do with that. That's a site problem.

    Careful now, people.

    Thanks for participating though.
Nevertheless, the problem with the "ghost" update is there and has to be fixed.
