I have asked two women. They both said a keyboard is mandatory if you have long fingernails.....

Also in the UK here, blackberry legacy devices are king with almost every other female I've seen, bbm is popular here

I picked an android phone after playing around with a few phones waiting for bb10, I haven't seen anyone with a bb10 device yet though male or female.

Remember not to stereotype all women based on the selection you usually see in your city/friendship circles. Not everyone sucks at tech or loves shiny pink things :l

No iPhone for this girl! BlackBerry is the only smartphone I've ever owned. Never even consider the others. Love this Z!!

Ok to tell you the truth Apple would attract females for the design and choices of colors. The thing that BlackBerry attracts females with is its famous keypad.

In the UK, BlackBerry certainly reigns supreme with the female crowd, they LOVE BBM. (I think the physical keyboards are more finger-nail friendly too?)

Not if you've got huge fingers like me.

I've been neglecting to clip my nails recently and only noticed when I tried using a Q10 at Best Buy: my thumb would hit one key, my nail another...

Couldn't get enough traction on the angles Q10 buttons with just my nails.

Also out of the four girls in my main social circle, we've got a Bold 9900, an iPhone 4S, a Galaxy Note 2, and my wife has a Galaxy Nexus.

Branching out to female coworkers we've got: Galaxy Nexus, HTC whatever the phone with the chin is, Galaxy SIII, Note 2, and a couple of iPhones.

The guys I work with all have iPhones, other than one Bold 9900.

It's definitely iPhone. Girls tend to be clueless when it comes to technology and iPhone is id iot proof, it's trendy, and it has millions of sparkly pink bedazzled cases with ears.

As far as what I see women using, it's usually Iphones, occasionally bbos. Young women especially seem to prefer the iphone

I'm a woman and currently using a Note 2. The sole reason is the screen size.
I looked at the Z10, freaking loved it, but I need the screen to be at least 5 inches.
I like the idea of having a phone/tablet hybrid allin-one device. I've been around tech devices my whole life (I'm the designated computer/phone fixer among my family and friends).
Simple things bore me. I like playing around with my devices and discovering new things . As soon as the A10 becomes available and has at least a 5 inch screen then it will be my next new device.
