So I'm having these weird problems with texting.

After I type a message and push send, it takes like 20 seconds for the text to like get sent. It just shows as blank and might eventually show up.

Also, I have messages I've sent in the last few days and I swear I sent them, but they're not showing up.

Am I the only one having these problems? If someone can't help me, I'm going to have to take this back and get a different phone. I already wiped, etc.

For the time delay, are you on wifi most of the time ? SMS doesn't go over wifi but the phone might be confused.
I don't have issues with SMS but I do with MMS where it tells me that the number I just sent an SMS to has an invalid destination address when sending MMS.

I have a new... idea, based on the absolute wierdness that's going on. I think it might be sending my messages as MMSes. Also, is there an easy way to make a screenshot of my phone so I can illustrate what's going on?

I am always on wifi when it's available. No need to spend money when you don't have to.

The red indicators show that your messages were not sent. You were probably not within your cellular network. I don't remember what the norm is - will the phone keep trying to send these unsent messages until the messages are sent or they stay that way on the Z10.

Question - the date says Oct? What are the date and time settings on your Z10?

That first message is older. Why would it show as red with no text though?

Don't worry, I'm also having the same problem.
It doesn't send when I'm connected to WiFi. And even after I turn off WiFi it still doesn't send... until I reboot. After reboot, it will give me the red X, meaning it wasn't send. Before the reboot it keeps attempting to send by showing the 3 wireless-like lines. When I get the X after reboot, and no WiFi, I can attempt to select that message and it gives me a resend option.

    Don't know what tf.

So BlackBerry doesn't expect you to use wifi? That is lame. Would raking it back for a different phone help?

Any chance everyone is with Telus? I started having this problem yesterday. Apparently Telus is having network issues, and they are aware of it. But with me, I would have problems sending mms

No, I'm on Telus when I'm home. But I'm in the Philippines for the past year, using this on Globe telecom.

Yeah someone in two other threads said to go to hub settings text messages advanced and to switch circuit switched to packet switch preferred.

I get "Invalid Destination Address" when I try to send a picture via MMS. Do you think this might help? Could you link to the other threads? I thought it might just be a VZW software issue isolated to one number I was trying to send to but it appears to affect others as well. It isn't the way the numbers are formatted because I can SMS to the exact same numbers.

Yeah, not much help there, I thought maybe someone else was having the exact same issue that I am having. I changed it to packet switched preferred and tried to send MMS but it still told me the same thing. Maybe with the 10.1 update (if Z10 gets it) or I might call VZW tomorrow and complain.

So I went out and bought another Z10. So more weird testing problems. I tried to forward a text and it wouldn't go. Then that showed up as perennially unread and it took like 12 attempts to delete.
