So I recently noticed a little bit of lag with my Z10, nothing big, but i must admit I have gotten used to the buttery smoothness it has.
Is there some sort of app or procedure to check to see if i have an app that might be hogging my memory?.
Side note, really really happy with phone, BlackBerry should have released this way back.... best ever, and i will be getting a Z30 soon
Running 10.2.0.429, and i am an app-o-holic I download every damn thing I can from BlackBerry World, any suggestions

Perhaps you have downloaded one of the new headless apps?

Not that I've noticed, lag is ususally notice, when minimizing and maximizing active frames....does that make any sense?

Well, the Leak 10.2.1.1055 has an App Manager app that can show cpu, battery, etc usage. But I don't think it is available in your OS.

for me slight lag is normal on 10.2.429 when apps are opening up.

is okay though once things are running it is fairly smooth.

I've seen that lag too. I think it has to do with the screen redrawing itself and all the active tiles you've got open. I notice every time I minimize an app and have CB10 open, the CB10 app refreshes the active tile.

Just opened 8 apps consecutively like this with no issue. Are you low on memory?

I know what you mean. I had this lag on the standard 10.2 OS Z10STL100-3/10.2.1.1925 no such stuttering.

So there is chance this could go away on a higher OS update?

I've had this problem for a while now. I think it might have something with having too many apps stored on the memory of the phone even though this is theoretically a RAM management issue.

I get a slight lag here in there even with only a few apps open. I'm still on 10.1 on VZW. Compared to OS 5-7 lags, pfft, I don't even think twice about it on my Z10 lol.

Not chance. Guaranteed. Unless you have a defective device which I doubt.

I have been getting some animation lag most of the time for the past 2 weeks. I'm planning to do a clean wipe, but I have too many items in Remember. I wish that Link would allow us to select what apps and settings to restore.

Usually I would see lag like that on old OS versions with either android apps open or a few native apps. All the compositing wasn't so easy on the phone. It's gone on 10.2.1.1925 except for a little stutter in rare cases but it's quite rare.

exactly as the poster above me stated. Some minor lag when opening and minimizing apps on previous OS builds, but its nearly gone now on any 10.2.1.xxxx build. I barely even notice it now. Could be I'm used to seeing it, or its not there anymore on these newest 10.2.1.xxxx builds we are seeing.

I have 10.2.1.1259 and I only get lag when I'm playing real racing, I don't even get lag when opening android apps. Try upgrading your OS using a leak. Merry Christmas

Just noticed this now, in my app monitor I can see the "system" sometimes uses 80/90% cpu power, this keeps moving up and down so it kind of fluctuates, i normally see this around 40/50%
    Is this normal?

So in thinking about this, it might be happening due to network connectivity. If you are opening apps that immediately pull information from the Internet, like say the weather app, and if your coverage and/or wifi is slow, then that could be a possible bottleneck.

Like I said, I don't have this problem at all, but this was a thought I had.

Hmm... depends what you are doing and what is being processed in the background.

If it's lag with text messages etc delete the conversation if it's big, if it's big it takes longer to load every time you open it and close it therefore causing lag.
