My Z10 no longer awakes and sleeps properly when coming in and out of the holster. I often set the Z10 on top of the empty pouch on my desk which sleeps it. Then when I pick it up to check messages, it automatically turns on screen, but this no longer works either.

I downloaded BBVE, but it does not have a test for the magnet.

I have tried rebooting, but no help. I have not updated OS in a while, in fact I am currently on Telus's stock release, so no leaked firmwares for me right now.

    Is this a hardware issue?

Does it do any of these? Or are they messed up also?

Oh, buy the way, test those features with a stronger magnet.

Op, that was one of the symptoms of the sensor problem we had earlier this week, can you confirm that the screen orientation changes when you turn your Z10 on its side,

I would turn the phone off and pull the battery out and reinsert after a few moments.

    Good luck.

The other day there was a Sensor issue including the sleeper one. But it was fixed and a reboot should have fixed it.

    Try a restart:

Press and HOLD both Vol Up/Down buttons. Keep holding while the screen goes fully black, keep holding through the Black/White logo and when the Colored Logo shows up, release those buttons.

If you have the STL100-1 variant the volume button reset method doesn't work. In that case, Press and HOLD the Power On Button until you see the LOGO as above

I tried all these, and eventually it just started working again, so clearly wasn't a h/w issue. Thanks.
