    I've recently started using skype on my Z10 with my friend who has a samsung galaxy and it works fine. Last night I tried to skype another friend who has an iphone and my camera refused to function and be seen by the other party. Has anyone experienced this? and if so is there a work around?

    That happened to me as well, first time I tried to skype it worked via laptop, but to iphone no, same issue, no video, just audio. However, last 2 or 3 calls have been great, no issue, so I'm not sure what was going on.

    My wife has an Iphone and I skype with her all the time without a problem.

    I use Skype with my daughter from my Z to her iPhone 5 all the time. No issues at all.

    That's because Apple wants to force everyone to buy Apple products and ONLY Apple products....their proprietary bull headedness is almost what sank them in the 90s.....now that they have infected so many people, it seems to work....you want to interact with an "Apple" person? Gotta buy Apple stuff and become one of "them."

    I Skype to my son's regularly. They have iPhones and it works fine. I am on 10.1.0.2354.

    One of the reasons I have never bought Apple products is that you become a hostage, and it's hard to escape once locked behind those walls. You have to run and leave almost everything behind.

    I had a similar issue. But what happened to me was that I could only see myself. I could hear my girlfriend but not see her. According to her she could see and hear me. So the problem seemed to be on my end.

    OP, was your iPhone friend on Wi-Fi at the time? I wonder if this is a problem with carrier data connection. Also, if it was not a iPhone 5, it would not have had a 4G wireless data connection.

    Maybe the reason is that you have an Android sideloaded app???
