My first blackberry was given to me by my girlfriend. It was a red one with a trackball full qwerty keyboard. Can't remember which on it was for the life of me but the year was 2006 and I had dropped my LG CE110 into a concrete basin at work. Long story short I've had every blackberry from then to now. I still have my 9800 and 9810 torches my 9920 and a curve that I can't remember the number on. It disappointed me because the camera had no flash and the device had no gps capabilities but I've been sold every since the first one

    Not your typical blackberry user

I started using BlackBerry back when I worked for Bell Mobility in 2007. My first BlackBerry was the Pearl. From there I ended up working for BlackBerry on a project team and was given the Curve.

I left some years ago but I'm still using BlackBerry. After the Curve I went to the Bold 9700, then 9780, and then the 9900.

I finally got an unlocked Z10 in May.

I've stuck with BlackBerry for many reasons. I like the security. I think it's still the best platform for email. I've also always liked the physical keyboard. I think the Z10's soft keyboard isn't as good as a physical keyboard, but it's close and by far the best soft keyboard out there. Another big reason was BBM. Definitely the best IM out there. I can communicate with my family all over the world with ease.

I have to admit though that I'm a little disappointed by the Z10. Not as refined as I expected after such a long wait. I almost switched to a GS4, but Bell Mobility wouldn't let me keep my 6GB data package, so I stuck with BlackBerry and I'm reasonably pleased.

I really hope that BlackBerry can move forward and back to their formal glory. I think they have a lot of hard work to do, bit I think they can do it.

Foe a year. Still with it because it's too costly to swap out 3 of them with the low and getting lower resale value.

    Since this...

Nostalgia won't let me get rid of it.

Owned quite a list of BlackBerry devices... Stayed because they have always done what was important to me.

    Never switched, probably never will.

My first blackberry device was a Pearl 3G . A year later I upgraded to Orlando. Loved the slim design but disliked everything else about it. Then more powerful Droids came a long so I diverted to HTC Rezound. Used it for a year before I switched to Xperia S. Then came along the Z10...

The Z10 made me return to using BlackBerry again. Bought it at launch and along the way I also bought a number of Android devices to use as my 2nd device: HTC One X, Xperias, LGs but I have never changed the Z10 because BB10 felt just right for me while the others and their various manufacturers skin felt lacking somehow.

So my Z10 is still running smoothly after all these months of ownership. Then I found the perfect 2nd device: the Z30

My Z30 and Z10...finger flickin' good

My first BB was a 9550 in early 2010. Most of my friends still had BB so it was awesome using BBM all the time. I upgraded two years later to a 9850, which was really good and is still a useful phone. I traveled abroad and with the cheap Global Plan from Verizon, I was able to use my BB overseas with ease. I think that experience overseas really solidified why I love BB so much: it's great for communication, has a decent camera, and can be used overseas very easily without having to worry about overage fees for data. I actually had an incident where I lost my 9850 while blacked out in Tokyo, so I had ordered a Z10 to replace it. A few days later my 9850 was retrieved (thank god, 3 days without my BB was a nightmare), but since it was already shipped out I came home to a new Z10 and have been using it since.

Newbie, here. Only used BlackBerry for the last three years, starting with 9720, then a 9900, and now this Z10. I was a windows phone user prior to this but my kids had BlackBerry phones and encouraged me to try it out. I had avoided BlackBerry because it was such a fadish yuppie accessory for such a long time. But after using my first Bold, I was hooked. It's such a business class phone - it just works like I do.

A year ago, I was disappointed enough in BlackBerry and this new OS to seriously consider changing platforms. Now, I'm hooked. I like and appreciate the new improvements.

Def rooting for bb to succeed.

My first smartphone was a BlackBerry Pearl and I hated it shortly after I got it. Received a BlackBerry through work and loved the full keyboard. Went from the Pearl to the Storm, then Torch (hated that phone shortly after too). When my contract was nearing it's end, I was ready to jump to a Droid or Windows phone but BB10 came out. Decided to give BlackBerry one more chance and I'm glad I did.

Why I've stuck with BlackBerry, I hate Apple products in general and hate being a slave to iTunes. Droid phones just looked too busy and complex (although I've never used one longer than playing on other people's phones). I would ask Droid users to wow me and show me things that would make me switch and there was really nothing. The only app I felt truly left out off was Instagram.

Being able to use gestures to get in and out of apps is just genius. I also can't imagine not having the Hub anymore! Flick'n words from my keyboard is also awesome too. List goes on and on...

Not that long... started on a 9320 Curve and now I'm on a Z10, Q5, and PlayBook ... all in active use. I've flirted with Windows Phone (quite good) and Android Tablet (not so good) and don't want an iThingy.

I used BlackBerry 9000 and was hooked to it by its look, simplicity, and business premium feel. Then I got Bold 9780 used it for almost 2 years before switching to Iphone 4s on my brother again and again persuasion. Then I got Bold 9900 which I am still fond of. Got White Q10 then switched to Z10 then again went back to Black Q10 for the sake of keyboard. But I still miss my 9900...looking to buy 9900 again if I can get refurbished one. LONG LIVE KEYBOARDS...!!!

Since January 2014. Bought a z10 off contract from a Verizon rep. He got bumped up to Samsung advocate and they gave him a new phone. He sold me a 3 day old phone for 200 bucks. I left android for various reasons and got my first BlackBerry. I really like this z10. App wise I have to say the mapping/ gps apps lack compared to Google. I mean they won't even acknowledge the rural addresses around here that I know are valid. I would really like to see bbm get cross platform video chat going soon so I can talk to my kids on their Android and ipad. Other than that this phone is the best phone I've ever used to date. I really hope BlackBerry can turn it around and stay competitive. I am sticking with them if they can. I dislike the idea of a phone app the needs to know when I took a dump last. So long Google. I need to go back and show the guy that sold me his phone what he missed out on. Maybe just maybe they will talk a little nicer about BlackBerry. It is a shame how little they know about the product. They can't even do the gestures past turning it on. So simple

Just got my first BlackBerry three weeks ago. A Z10. I bought it because I wanted a fast phone with an acceptable camera and be because I own BlackBerry shares. It was the best deal for a well made, high quality phone with exchangeable battery for less than 200?.

started with the 9700 and that is still my favorite phone (oh, the keyboard feedback was orgasmic)! . Sorry...back on topic! I'm on the Z10 now and I am amazed with how far the OS has come. I work in construction and can easily load and view large floor plans and 100MB PDF installation files with ease. Removable battery, SD slot, presentations are easy to whip up with Express, the keyboard is the best on glass, and best of all...it's the only phone I can rock without a case and not worry about dropping it. It has taken a few falls and survived other that scratches on the outer belt. With updates, this has only gotten better.

Just need a real BlackBerry tablet to support this...rarely touch the PlayBook anymore unless I'm playing music on a road trip in the car.
