I'm getting the error: "The SIM card is not compatible. MM3"

From what I've read this commonly indicates a locked phone, but I've checked and the phone is unlocked. More importantly, the phone was working with this SIM last night. I simply woke up today and it has refused to connect. I've tried updating to the latest software, many reboots, even making sure the contacts were all clean. What else can I try?

The recommended solutions from both threads did not fix the problem. I was wondering if anybody else knew what might cause this.
