As always, caveat emptor. That being said, I had no issues with any of my sideloaded apps. I would only grab them from the trustworthy folks on here, but that is just me. There is always going to be risk when you do a non-standard installation, but with that being said, I personally did it and I would do it again.

I would suggest to use your Web browser and save the mobile Web site to your desktop

I know the td app for legacy BBs was just a link to their mobile app so I just bookmarked that to my home screen and it seems to be working well.

Side note: does anyone know how or I'd it is possible to change the icon for a bookmark on the home page?
