If I pick up the phone off my desk or my nightstand, it will reboot every so often. Same as if I'm on a call, it will randomly reboot occasionally and when I'm not touching it, it will reboot. I'm on the latest OS, this is ridiculous. Of course because I bought it overseas, I have no warranty options because BlackBerry forces you to take it back the original carrier it was purchased from. I had reboots on 10.1.0.1720 and .2009 but not on .2025 (via T-Mobile). Try another carrier's SIM if you don't have 2025 or above.

I used to get reboots all the time too.

Ever since t-mobile released OS 10.1.0.2025, I have not had a single reboot.

    It's been great!

I'm on Verizon and had tried several OS's. I'm now on 10.1.0.2354 and my reboots have completely disappeared! I recommend trying it!

1.0.2534 OS cleared up the rebooting issue for me. I used to get on average around 2 reboots a day drove me nuts.

I too can say that with 10.1.0.2354 my reboots completely disappeared. Maybe it really is a loose battery, however that wouldn't explain why it is rebooting while lying around. FYI: Z10STL100-2 here.

Good luck with finding out what's wrong, would be nice to let us know when you do find something so we are able to help the next ones with similar problems

Try the 4xxx OS's or the 10.2. They should be fixing the problem

Are you for real? I'm practically a BlackBerry expert so yeah I do know what I'm doing and I'm still having this problem. It's the phone.

Several people told you what you need. Most likely you need the most recent update available from Tmobile or Verizon or your battery is loose. You don't want to swim the ocean? Have someone send you a SIM from a carrier that pushed the update or compel your carrier to issue one.

I've seen loose battery connectivity cause phones to shut down even with no one touching the unit. If it is the battery, try this old school trick.

Take a piece of paper just slightly bigger in width then the battery. Fold it over once and place it under the battery between the phones back and battery, then put the cover back on. This should give the battery a snug fit so that the connectors are firm against each other and power isn't intermittently disrupted.

As much as I love my BlackBerry 6 Bold, I just might obtain a Q10 as soon as it becomes available on my carrier. The Hub and videocalling options seem really cool. I also read somewhere that reception is the already-excellent BlackBerry signal on steroids.

If her phone is sitting there and rebooting then there is a legitimate issue.

Ok, folks, the Bickering and insults are unnecessary. The name calling stops, or the thread does. It's that simple. Now that it's been cleaned up, it is reopened.

Play Nice, Be Helpful, and have Respect!

This means keep the language clean, keep your posts polite, and don’t get into arguments over dumb things. If somebody responds to a thread you posted in poor fashion, ignore it, and the moderation team will quickly clean it up (you can always message or email a moderator at any time if you observe anything that is in poor taste/against the rules). Think back to what your parentals and teachers used to lecture - if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all.

Always remember that we are all unique and at different levels here - some of us are experienced BlackBerry users and forum junkies, while others are just starting out. If you’re on the experienced side, have patience for those just joining in on the fun and be helpful. With a little patience and a little help they won’t be newbies for long. Also remember that it is our differences that keeps this place interesting. If everyone was from the same place and at the same experience level it would be boring. This is a worldwide community united by a common interest - our love, or addiction as some would call it, for the BlackBerry!

My phone regularly rebooted when plugged in for charging overnight and the battery hit 100% - i think.
Updated to 1.0.2312 - seems to make this stop.

What OS version are you running? If it is not 10.1, then rebooting may be an issue. If your carrier has not issued the updated OS, then install a leak. It will fix the rebooting issue.
