    I was in Best Buy Mobile on Saturday 5/4/13. They had a AT&T branded Z10 on an endcap at the entrance of the store (the shout out) and a white Verizon dummy unit on display. I walked up to the endcap and started playing with the Z10. (I have a BB 9850, just wish AT&T would hurry up and buy Alltel) The unit was in demo mode. I remember reading here on Crackberry to swipe down from the top and tap exit demo mode to go to the real good stuff. I Swiped down and exited demo mode and started playing with the phone. (it did not have a sim card installed) A very nice sales lady came up and asked if she could help me. I told her I was just droolong over the Z10. She noticed it was not in demo mode! She asked how I was able to do that. I showed her and she said they had never been showed how to take it out of demo! (the WTF) She said now she can show off all of the Z10's features in real time and thanked me!

    It's nice that they will now be able to show it off the right way. I'm also with Alltel. Unfortunately the area I'm in Alltel is gong to stay Alltel, at least in name. Allied Wireless Communications Corporation (AWCC) is now operating under the Alltel name. When my contract is up (also with the 9850) I'm sure I will be leaving.

    BlackBerry needs to get its act together and give the carriers a decent demo mode and an option to switch out.

    Demo mode is very important, other wise you can have skater kids messing with the device writing obscenities and visiting porn sites. Blackberry just needs a better demo mode I agree.

    Going some time this week to see what it will cost me to get out of my contract with Alltel! (it expires in December) The folfs at AT&T were very informed and willing to help while I was browsing in their store! Would never buy from Best Buy!

    Demo mode is very important, other wise you can have skater kids messing with the device writing obscenities and visiting porn sites. Blackberry just needs a better demo mode I agree.

    They do not need a better demo mode, Best Buy just needs sales people who know how to switch between demo and the real phone!

    BlackBerry doesn't need to change anything. People lack knowledge of electronic devices, plain and simple. I feel that just about everyone in electronic stores know less and less about their products. It's very frustrating hearing sales reps talk about electronics to the unaware customer. What bugs me the most are the tv departments and cell phone departments.

    I don't know man. I agree that BlackBerry is doing good things, but we want them to sell sell sell, so anything to help that is much appreciated in my book

    Seems like one of BlackBerry's most pressing issues to get more sales is to educate store staff better. The number of stories like this and worse are appalling.
